Now let’s go to Indonesia for a taste of the pianist duo from France, Duo Ykeda. The performance was part of Indonesia’s French Spring Festival in Surabaya.   Duo Ykeda is Patrick Zygmanowski and Tamayo Ikeda, a husband and wife duo. One from Japan, one from France, united by music.  The highlight of the night was when they played their famous piano music for four hands. They also played works of famous French composers such as Van Schubert and Charles Camille Saint Saens. The exciting performance entertained an audience of about 300, who gave a standing ovation and requested an encore twice.  [Vonny Rumambi, Indonesian Pianist]: “They are truly world class. Not many people can play piano for four hands; moreover, they were husband and wife, that is so rare.
